The City of Bellefontaine Neighbors has adopted the International Building Code (IBC 2009), the International Residential Code (IRC 2009) and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC 2003) to ensure that properties are safe for residents of the City. The Public Works Department is focused on customer service and providing the best possible advice and inspection services to homeowners, contractors and developers.

Citizens are strongly urged to follow our vicious/dangerous dog ordinance. This ordinance in short states bully breeds are to be muzzled and leashed and not to roam freely. Failure to comply will result in a nuisance file to be created resulting in fines.

Also: Properties that have been identified as having any criminal activity will now be dealt with to the upmost severity of our ordinance.

Fowl as pets are required to follow strict guidelines, those found to be non- compliant will be served with a mandated deadline to have the animals removed prior to further action being taken.
